Some ideas about what to do now that you have completed the course. I hope that the Basics of Foresight course has been useful for you and that you are more alert to just how you both think about and use foresight in practice.

What do you do now?
Reflect on the initial exercise you did in the introduction to Part 1 . Write down your definition of foresight now that you have finished the collection. Compare it to the definition that you wrote down in the exercise before you started the collection. Are they different? Or not? If they are different, what has changed? Do you have a sense that you may be thinking in new ways now? What assumptions have you recognised and challenged?
Take the time to reflect on what you have read and watched in the lessons, and what you have begun to design. Let it 'sit' for a little while and see what emerges. Record your thinking in your notebook which you can now use as a journal of sorts to track the emergence of your foresight capacity. Note when you begin to realise your thinking has changed.
Sign up for Conversations about Futures, the next collection to be published - soon I hope! This collection will provide you with a practical framework for integrating the thinking and doing of foresight. I will let you know when it's launched.
If the Basics of Foresight collection was useful, please tell others about it. We all need to spread the word about the value of foresight. And, if you could write an honest review for me I would be very grateful. I know you get many requests for reviews - and I also know my usual reaction when asked to do a review. The review form is quick to complete and I would love your feedback to ensure the course is actually useful. It's a very short form to fill out - promise!
You can access the collection - including any updates - for as long as they remain available online. You can also download a PDF of the complete Basics of Foresight Content if that is useful.
